Is the NEON helmet water resistant?
Yes, NEON is designed to perform reliably in a variety of environments, including light to heavy rain. All components are rated up to IPX6, meaning NEON is water-resistant and protected against powerful water jets from any direction. However, it should not be submerged in water.

How long does the battery last?
Depending on your settings (since NEON is highly customizable), the battery can last between 3 to 16 hours of riding.

What certifications does NEON have? Is it safe?
NEON is fully certified for use with e-bikes and high-speed mobility devices.
NTA 8776 – Dutch standard for high-speed e-bike helmets (up to 45 km/h)
EN 1078 – European standard for bicycle, skateboard, and roller skate helmets
CPSC – U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission standard for bicycle helmets

Does NEON have Crash Detection? How does it work?
Yes, NEON has Crash Detection. In the event of an accident, NEON can detect a hard impact and, if you fail to respond to our safety check, send out an SOS text with your location. Once a hard crash is registered by the onboard accelerometer (mild bumps won’t trigger this), a safety check timer will go off in our App. If the rider doesn’t respond, the SOS is sent to the emergency contact you have selected in the App. The safety check timer and even the SOS message are both customizable. The phone screen doesn’t have to be on for this feature to work but the App must be open (with Crash Detection active). If you need help setting this up, check this tutorial in the App section.

What is Mips?
Mips is a security system that improves a helmet's performance during rotational impacts (which are the most usual kind). Essentially, it's a special low-friction liner that can slightly rotate in any direction at the moment of impact, absorbing some of the impact's energy. All in all, it makes the helmet safer (cause the helmet is already safe, to begin with). You can read more about Mips here.
