“I bought one of these for my son via the kickstarter because I loved the idea, my son was a bit too young (small) at the time but I knew it would be an investment and I was so right! The first few years of him learning to bike were a nightmare, he is autistic and struggles with micro fine motor movements and he also tends to run off a lot on his own so we have to keep a very close eye on him. The traditional switch clip style bicycle helmet straps were a nightmare for him to try to take off on his own usually resulting in a panic attack that would last long after we removed it.

Fast forward to the past month now that he's grown into the UNIT 1 helmet for kids and MY GOODNESS! he loves the fun inserts, the lights on the back are cool and engaging, and even though we never let him out of our sight the tracker on the helmet just adds that extra level of security. And the strap? It's this awesome magnetic slide piece that is easy to remove with the proper force while being secure enough to keep the helmet on your head when you really need it.
